Watford back at top of table

Watford left Vicarage Road with three points after Saturday's game against Millwall which they won 3-1.The win saw the Hornets return to the top of Championship in a game in which they started off on the wrong foot, conceding an early goal to the Lions in the 12th minute.They however recovered before the half-time mark with two goals from Matej Vydra and Daniel Tozser, before Gianni Munari sealed Millwall's fate in the second half.

Coventry City sign up Gary Madine

Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Madine, has returned to Coventry City on a month's loan.The 24-year-old spent three months on loan with The Sky Blues back in 2009, but was unable to find the back of the net during that particular spell.
Nonetheless,Coventry boss Steven Pressley praised Madine's abilities on the club's official site saying; "We're delighted to bring in a player of Gary's quality. He is a player we've been tracking for some time and we've always been aware of the quality he has."

Nottingham Forest sign up Tom Ince

Hull City midfielder Tom Ince, has been signed up by Nottingham Forest on a two month loan deal.The 22-year-old winger will make his first appearance for the Reds in todays match against Huddersfield Town. The deal is no doubt a welcome move for Ince who has not had much time on the pitch since he joined the Tigers in the Summer, and has not made a league appearance since August.

Blackpool appoint Lee Clark as new manager

Blackpool have announced the appointment of Lee Clark as their new manager, following the departure of Jose Riga who was fired earlier this week after just four months at the helm of the Seasiders.Fourty two year old Clark, was fired by Birmingham City ten days ago after the club ended up just one place outside the Championship relegation zone.

After Ryman League Division One South club Carshalton Athletic lost 2-1 to East Grinstead Town on Tuesday, the club announced the departure of manager Stuart Massey.The loss was the ninth consecutive defeat of the Robins under Massey who joined the club at the start of the year, and leaves them just two points above the Ryman Division One South dropzone.

While announcing the decision, Chairman Paul Dipre said: "The results over the past two months have not been good enough but this decision bears no reflection upon the efforts of Stuart who has been trying hard to improve things."

Fulham hand Symons 18 month contract

After an impressive month as interim manager of Fulham FC, Kit Symons has been confirmed in the position.The 43-year-old took over the reins of the club from Felix Magath who was fired last month after the Cottagers lost six of their opening seven games in the Championship.On the other hand, Symons has managed to pull off five wins in nine games to pull Fulham from relegation, and was subsequently rewarded with an eighteen month contract from the club.

Rob Page appointed manager of Port Vale

After managing the Valiants in a caretaker capacity since Micky Adams resigned last month, Rob Page was yesterday appointed manager of Port Vale on a full-time basis.In the past month, Page has led the League One side to victory over Barnsley, Yeovil Town and Leyton Orient, and has managed to get the club up to the 16th position on the table, from its dismal 23rd place at the time he took charge.

Hogan Ephraim joining Wycombe Wanderers

Former QPR attacker, Hogan Ephraim, has been signed up by Wycombe Wanderers in a deal until the end of the season. The 26-year-old, who has been training with the team in recent weeks, will be joining former QPR caretaker manager Gareth Ainsworth at Adams Park.

While speaking about Ephraim's joining the club, The Chairboys manager Ainsworth, said; "He's a great attacking option to us and he has an ability on the ball which will stand out in League 2."

The FA charges Hereford United with misconduct

Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division club Hereford United have been charged with misconduct by the FA, after it was alleged that the Bulls breached Regulation 3.1.1 of the ODT Regulations by not submitting to The Association a duly completed and signed ODT Declaration in respect of Mr Alan McCarthy, the majority shareholder in the club.

Mauro Milanese not down after Preston loss

Mauro Milanese's first game in charge of Leyton Orient ended in a disappointing 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Preston North End, but the 43-year-old is not particularly disturbed by the result, as he made clear when he said; "At times, I couldn't see too much difference between the two teams and so for the most part of the game, I was satisfied with what we were doing."
