Wrexham Boss Rebuffs Tranmere or Any Other Job

Wrexham FC manager Kevin Wilkin, who has seen more promotions than the chief shredder at a merchant bank or top four auditor put together, has ruled himself out of the Tranmere Rovers job. That may seem a bit bullish given Rob Edwards is still in the job but time is surely running out for the man who replaced Ronnie Moore.

Poor Rob Edwards does have the weight of Atlas on his shoulders with Tranmere now 20th. It gets worse Rovers lost 0-1 against Carlisle on Saturday. The six pointer was always going to be something of a six pinter plus chacers for the vanquished. The Cumbrians had not won all season either,  although Keith Curle's first game in charge was bound to spark a reaction for a club still bottom of the Football League. Carlisle now sit just a point behind Oxford United and you would bet on Curle steering England's most remote club clear of danger.

But back to Kevin Wilkin who scotched any rumours with a very positive hands off.

I love being at the place, I have done from minute one and I have no interest in anything outside of that at the moment," said Wilkin.
